MAN B J10&E HIS NEOK, \ Napier December 26. A peculiar accident is reported from : Waiwhenua station. David SunIma’n Gordon, aged 48, while climbing Un to a motor lorry, slipped anVl fell 'on the back of his head, breaking his I neck. It is believed that deceased had no relatives in the Dominion. J Cambridge, December 20. A mptor-cfif accident occurred at Tamvhare, near Cambridge, at midday yesterday. A car capsized, am' a boy named Willis, 10 years of age, had his head crushed, and died the same night. Miss Nellie Jones was badly cut about the face, and R. [Brady received cuts and a severe shock. Two other occupants of the car were uninjured. Gore, December 26. Robert T. Coomer, aged 73, a wellkuown retired,farmer and dredge-mas-ter, was knocked down by a motorcar driven by a boy named Percy Shave in Broughton Street, Gore, on I Saturday afternoon. His spinal column was fractured and dislocated. He died bn Monday night. An inquest was opened yesterday and adjourned till Saturday night. ’ ' Napier, December 26.

' Lynda Maude Mitchell, aged six, a daughter of Mr R. T. Mitchell, railway guard, died of injuries received by being knocked down’by a taxi driven by R. T. Stock in Carlyle Street. The child was running across the road when the accident occurred. The inquest was adjourned after medical evidence had been taken. DEATH OF ELDERLY MAORI. Per Press Association Marton, December 28. An elderly Maori man named Poneke died at Palmerston Hospital last night as the result of a motor cycle with side-car running over a bank on Mount StCvAvrt, near Sandon, when he sustained a fractured skull. The accident occurred through the cyclist trying to avoid collision with a motor cyclist.
