CHIEF POSTMASTER'S EVIDENCE Per Press Association. Auckland, August 21. At the Postal Enquiry Mr Williamson, eh iof postmaster at Auckland, gave evidence that the stamp marks on the envelopes delivered without contents indicated that they had been posted with the flaps open. During the year a large number of envelopes were received from various sources uriaddressed or without contents, and in one instance 300 envelopes wenposted without enclosures and returned to the firm from which they came. He received instructions from Wellington to censor correspondence for box 91.2, and placed the instructions in the order book for his officers accordingly.
