A severe struggle is progressing further south in the neighbourhood of the Sereth. LATEST GERMAN REPORT. (Received 1.20 p.m.) . London, August 20. A German official report states: The AustrorGermans drove stubbornly-re-sisting Roumanians both sides, of the Oituz Valley, and took 5000 prisoners. There we're stubborn struggles on the west "bank of the Sereth, We took 2200 prisoners. We repulsed strong Russian attacks southward of the confluence of the Rimnea.

General Korniloff has demanded full military control of the .railways'. -General Korniloff's confidential report states that .he is able to rally the fleeing armies by prompt stern measures, but the drafts arriving from the rear are full of heavy losses by desertions and are utterly unfitted owing to the complete absence of discipline and draining;'The; "railways' are disordered.
