At the late General Meeting of the New Zealand Newspaper Proprietors' Association, it was unanimously decided that an increase in the selling price of papers was necessary owing to the heavy advance in the landed cost of news printing paper and the increased cost of newspaper production generally, due to conditions arising out of the war.
