ALLIED PROGRESS REPORTED. FRENCH AND BRITISH KEEP PACE. The High Commissioner reports:— London, August 1(3 (1.5 p.m.) Sir Douglas Haig reports:—Eastward and northward of Ypres at 1.45 a.in. the Allies again attacked on a wide front with heavy lighting. Progress was made at all points, despite stubborn resistance of the enemy. On the Lens battle-front, three more enemy counter-attacks during the night were repulsed. At Cite, St. Auguste, our artillery broke up the enemy ..concentration. A French official report states;— Our troops in Belgium are keeping pace with the British, am! have captured their, objectives, including Steusbeck.
