The Japanese Premier, replying to Mr Lloyd George, said ho was confident that the British Government, under his leadership, would, with their allies, prosecute the war to a complete and lasting victory, and that nothing was more consonant to the purpose than the fortunate alliance and the sentiments that had long been uniting tlio respective nations.
