1 TARANAKI CHRISTMAS MEETING. [ | The Taranaki Jockey Club’s popular i Christmas gathering which takes place on December 20th and 27th, has on its programme lour open events, viz., Christmas Handicap, of 200 sovs.. ! one mile and a quarter; Flying Handicap, of 150 sovs*,, six furlongs; -New Plymouth Handicap, of 150 sovs., | eight furlongs and a-half; and Inglo- | wood Handicap, of 100 sovs., six furlongs. In addition, there are two hack hurdle races and ten hack flat l events, no stake being loss than 100 ' sovs. This meeting precedes the Stratford iI.C. annual meeting, thus giving owners of horses four days’ | racing inside a week. Entries for all ev.ents close on Friday, November 21, at 0 p.m., and weights for the lirst day will be declared on (or about) December 8. Further information may be obtained from the secretary, Mr E.
