MORE LIGHT WANTED.

[To The Edixob Sxkaxfokd Post.) Sir, —I wish to ask the body who controls the lighting of the streets, where are the lights that should illuminate? One street especially has on the footpath tree roots without number which necessitates the pass-er-by doing the goose-step. (I for one, a Britisher, do not require that culture) or otherwise a damaged shin, etc. At present there is a sacro going about of school children being stopped, also I knew of not one but two women being accosted by an unknown. {Such darkness being permitted leads to crime. The shortage of current cannot he put down to the water-supply. If anything we should have extra current. I trust my feeble remarks will cause some able writer to come forth.
