'i'ho N.ZJ Loan and .Mercantile A.gencyi Co., Ltd., Stratford branch, report as follows ;-r . , , On Friday, lOtli November, we held our usual monthly sale at le 81 d There was a fair yarding of sheep and cattle, most of which were so at the hammer and afterwards a satisfactory prices. Store cows nuulc from £7 Us to £8 3s, mixed yearlings £5 13s to £6 Is, empty heifers £6 los, springing heifers £6 7s to £8 2s b , bulls £5 los to £6 13s, empty ewes 3()s, hoggets 30s 7d, ewes and lambs (small) 30s. Our next Te Wera sale at this centre will be held on the Bbh December, 1910.

On Monday, 13th November, we held our postponed monthly sale at Kohuratahi yards. The weather was not too pleasant, the roads being very bad. Nevertheless, there was a fair yarding of cattle and sheep, most of which we sold at the hammer and afterwards at advanced prices, boiward cows made up to £9 los, 2-year-old steers £9 4s to £9 los, 3-year-old .steers .(small) £ll 12s, empty heifers £0 19's 6d to £7 18s, 15-months, heifers from £6 6s to £6 13s, yearling heifers £4 ISs to £o 17s, yearling steers £5 11s to £6 16s, cows and calves £8 3s, Shorthorn hulls £lO los, 4 and 6-tooth wethers 3os 6d to 38s Id, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 30s 6d, ewes (small) 31s 9d. Our next sale at these yards will be held on 7th December.

On Tuesday, 14th November, wo held our usual fortnightly sale at 'the Stratford yards, and, notwithstanding the Farmers’ Co-op’s opening sale, we had a very large yarding of cattle and small lot of sheep, all of which were sold and some re-sold, and we have to report one of the best sales we have had for some time. Store cows (small) £6 18s to £7 13s (id, medium £9 os to £9 19s, good lines £lO 19s to £ll 6s, cbws and calves £7 11s to £lO 7s, yearling steers £5 3s Gd to £6 Is, yearling heifers (small) £4 10s to £5 11s, medium £6 los to £5 17s 6d, good lines £G to £6 4s, 15-months heifers £5 19s to £6 6s, 2-year steers £7 ISs to £8 16s, 2-year-old heifers £6 6s to £7 3s, empty heifers £7 18s Gd. Dry ewes up to 34s Gd. In the Dairy Yards we had a small entry of heifers, but a good demand, and nearly everything was cleared. Small heifers £9 7s Gd to £9 10s, fair £lO 12s Gd to £lO 17s Gd, bulls £G to £ll 12s Gd. Our next Stratford sal,- -c-ifl bo held

on Tuesday, 28th November. ; On Friday, 17th November, we held our usual monthly sale at Tarata, when we had a fairly largo entry ol cattle, hut no sheep, and have (o report an exceptionally good sale, every beast yarded being sold at die hammer. Store cows made from £7 18s Cd to £lO 2s, forward cows £ll 11s to £l3, I springing heifers (small) £5 10s to [£S, small cows and calves £7 13s, yearling heifers (small) £1 5s to £5 [l7s, empty heifers £7 Ids.
