PERSONAL.
Members of ' the Inglewood Fire Brigade met at the lire station on Tuesday, for the purpose of saying good-bye to, and also presenting Private Rupert Nicholls, a member of the brigade, with a small memento. The Record reports that Captain Coldwell, in presenting Private Nicholls with an English made morocco pocket wallott, expressed the feeling of the brigade that they could not let him depart without some recognition of his services to the brigade, and more so to his King and country, whom he has served so well in the present war. Captain Coldwell trusted the trip to the Old Count) y would be beneficial and the operation successful, and hoped on his return to see him fit again for work in the brigade. Private Nicholls, in thanking the members for -the useful present they had given him, said it would always remind him of the good ieeling the brigade members had towards him, and hoped when he came hack to be fit again to run out with the reel. Private Nicholls left by uiail train on Wednesday morning, and sails from Wellington on the 27th inst.
