A mother and her two children arrived at Kuringai station one evening and entered the bush with the aid of matches and candleß. They slept by a creek, and in the morning the mother attempted to poison the girl with lysol. The children escaped and told the stationmaster. After two days' search the bodies of the mother and stfn were discovered alongside a hamper containing four lysol bottles and two pea rifles.- There was evidence that both the mother an<J son had been poisoned and the boy shot through the temple. The mother who was a •chronic ■sufferer from neuralgia was identified as Mrs Stokes of Rock<dale.
