SUSPENDED UNCONSCIOUS 155 FEET FROM GROUND.

Rafter and Mayhall, two Steepler jacks, were repairing a, chimney at the Leeds electricity works, when Rafter dropped a hammer on Mayhall’s head, who was working some feet below. Mayhall fell backwards in an unconscious state', and was suspended by the legs. Rafter descended, and with a third steeplejack’s assistance put a rope round Mayhall, who was lowered 150 feet. He was taken to hospital still unconscious.
