Mr Teece, general manager of the * A.M.P. Society, was presented with s, a life-size portrait of himself on behalf of the directors throughout Australia and New Zealand, states a Sydney cablegram.
Dr. W. A. Chappie, formerly of Wellington, has recex.-ed at up* pointernent as Major in the R.A.M.C. He expects to he 1 engaged chiefly in the conveyance of the wound?d from the port of disembarkation to Iheir various hospitals in England.
The Hon. J. R. Sinclair, New Zealand’s representative on the Dominion Commission, is due to arrive at Sydney from London to-day, states a cablegram from Sydney. Mr Sinclair departs for'New Zealand on the Makura. *
Mr Fisher (Premier of the Commonwealth) departs for New Zealand by the Makara to-day, states a Sydney cablegram. He will be absent about a month. The Attorney-Gen-eral (Hon. W. M. Hughes) also pays a holiday visit to New Zealand at the end of the month.
