ON THE YORKSHIRE COAST. THREE STEAMERS DESTROYED BY MINES. United Press Association. (Received 9.10 a.m.) . London, December 17. Three steamers were destroyed by mines at Flam borough Head last night, several persons being drowned. It is believed one vessel was the passenger ship Macnamara.
NEUTRAL’S HEAVY LOSS THROUGH MINES.
(Received 8.25 a.m.) Stockholm, December 17. Through mines Sweden has lost eight vessels, nearly sixty lives; Denmark, six vessels and six lives; Holland, three vessels and fifteen lives; Sweden’s financial loss is estimated at half a million sterling. ON THE BELGIAN COAST. . London, December 17. Monitors on the Belgian coast continue to harass the Germans. GRUESOME REPORT OF THE EMOEN. Brisbane, December 17. The steamer Montoro, en route from Singapore, visited the scene of the destruction of the Fmden three days after the fight. It was impossible to get near, the wreck owing to the terrible stench of the corpses littering the crumpled deck of the Emden, which was beyond recognition. ,
