THE EXPEDITIONARY FORCES. Per Press Association. Wellington, December 8. The Gazetted list of candidates published for the purpose of defining.the votes cast by members of the Expect tionary Forces show that the Government has a candidate in every electorate, having adopted Mr W, Richardson, the well-known prohibitionist, for Auckland Central. In Grey Lynn, Eden, Lyttelton and Grey the Opposition have no candidate. In Wanganui the Opposition adopted Mr Yeitch, in Wellington South, Mr Hindmarsh, in Wellington suburbs Mr Moore, in Wellington East Mr McLaren, and in Otaki Mr Robertson. All are acknowledged representatives of Labour. In Grey Lynn -Labour selected the Hon. George Fowlda, Mg Payne being left out by both parties. Where’ Labour bas-.no they adopted the Opposition nominee. '#*l* Aii analysis of the nominations foi the general election shows that there are Reform candidates, sixty-seven Oppositionists, twenty-four Labour .-eandidgtes,y r two Independents and one^classed as ! “Prohibitionist.” The Reform party has a - candidate in every party is contesting sixty-six, and the various Labour parties , twenty-eight electorates. The forty-two seats in the North Isslantl are Abging •’ contested by * whilst there are seventy-six aspirants for the thirty-fotp' seats in the South Island.
