GALES IN THE ATLANTIC.
MUCH DAMAGE ON SEA AND LAND.
[By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] United Press Association, (Received 11.20 a.m.) Washiutgon, December 7. There are terrific Atlantic gales on the east coast. An unknown warship grounded on the Maryland coast, afterwards being refloated. Much damage was done to shipping. Norfolk City is under water. At Seabright, New Jersey, houses collapsed when the floods undermined them.
