PROPOSED RECONSTRUCTION. ' (Received 10.55 a.m.) Melbourne, November 27. The board of directors of the Howard Smith Co. has decided to submit a scheme for reconstruction. The proposed now company Will have a nominal capital of five million in pound shares and 'will take over the interests of the present company as from December ,31st next.
N.Z.L. AND M.A. GO’S. BALANCESHEET.

The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co’s, balance-sheet shows a profit of £121,724. Preference and ordinary dividends of five per cent are declared. In view of the abnormal conditions created by the war and the drought in Australia, and in view of special provision which will be available next year for the reserve and premises account from the liquidation of the N.Z. Land Association, which is practically completed and will exceed last year’s estimate, the directors decided to carry forward the whole balance of £55,279. BRADFORD WOOL MARKET. (Received 12.35 p.m. ) London, November 26. At Bradford merinos were quiet and a shade easier. All crossbreds were firm. Fair business was doing. Sixty fours spot 30Jd, February onwards 27d, super sixties 29|d to 26Jd, common 28 Id to 26d, fifty sixes 28cl to 27d, fifties- 251 d to 24d, 22d to 21d, forties 20d to 19d. LONDON PRODUCE PRICES. (Received 12.35 p.m. ) London, November 27. Wheat is quiet and unchanged. Australian landed 51s. Flour is quiet. Australian in store 36s to 36s 6d, Barley is firm. Australian Chevalier 3!s 6d to 37s 6d. Oats and brans are quiet and unchanged. Peas are tending upwards.
