TURKISH FORCE EVAPORATES.
London, November 24. The Press Bureau reports that the remnants of the Turkish forces at Basre have evaporated, leaving their guns and rifles. The Europeans were found safe. The Arab soldiers recently mobilised by the Turks were left behind, many having discarded their arms and uniforms and resumed civil dress, being dissatisfied at the manner in which they were' treated by the Turks. The Sultan's proclamation of a Holy War has fallen flat in central Asia Minor. The Turkish reservists at Aleppo declined to go north to fight the Russians.
