Peu Prkss (Association. Wanganui, November IS. \ The Wanganui agricultural show opened to-day in lino but windy weather. The influence of the war was seen in some falling off in entries in all classes, except dogs, which total 1165. or 1:30 more than last year. The quality of the exhibits is, however, quite up to the mark, fat stock being particularly good. The Association made a departure this -err in handing the management of the tea kiosks over to a committee of U'iies, the whole of the proceeds going to the Belgian fund. Horses (draughts'-: Mrs J. 1). Ormond's Moto Glen, champion. Cattle: E. Short in Herefords, and W. I. Lovelock and J. Donald in Hoi steins swept the board. Hereford Champion Bull: E. Short's Eaton Oak; cow, E. Shorts 'iappy Rosa; Holsteins, Champion Bud. W. I. Lovelock's King of Dominoes; Reserve Champion, J. Donald's Paul Pietertje; Champion Cow, J. Donald's Netherland Pauline; Reserve, W. I. Lovelock's Colantha Lass; Ayrshires, Champion Bull, Jas. MeFarlane's Lord Glenbam; Reserve, John Cameron's Lochiel Joker ; Cr.w. W. H. Caine's Bright Smile; Reseive, W. H. Caine's Favourite. In Lincoln sheep, Mrs J. D. Oiaiond took championships for ram and ewe and lamb.
