GOOD PRICES FOR WOOL. Pee Press Association. Wellington, November 18. At the first wool sale of the season bidding was spirited, and there was keen competition for all sountl wellgrown wools. ' Crossbred sold • particularly well, realising over 13d, coarser wools commanded good prices, and sold well up to,and above values; pieces and bellies were in extremely good demand, mainly on the part of fellmongers, whilst crutchings were taken for Japan. Prices on the whole for good sound wools were over Id per lb above last year's rates.* ••
