(Received 8.15 a.rn.) London, November 16. The Daily Telegraph’s correspondent mentions that at a village in the north of France at an interval in the firing, the French general ordered a retreat. The Germans noticing this, hurriedly poured battalion after battalion into the village, whereupon an explosion shook the countryside, the French having mined the village. Several battalions of the enemy were dead in the ruins.
