: Mr W. H. Hawkins, Stratford’s Lib--era! candidate, addressed a meeting of electors in the Stanley ; Road School last evening, Mh, G. Sangster presiding. The proceedings were enlivened by several paaaages-at-arms between the candidate and a couple of enthust- ; astic ‘Reformers,” but the differences were settled good-humouredly. A motion of thanks to the speaker for his 'table and interesting address was carried by acclamation. A motion of thanks to Mr Sangster for presiding concluded the proceedings.
