GENERAL. [United Pkess Association.] Sydney, November 4. Henry Wittmack, a well-known German, was found dead, with a revolver in his hand. He had recently been depressed, and told his friends that he feared the war meant the downfall of Germany. Before the Foods Commission, evidence was given that forty medicinal lines had. been increased by 51 peir cent, since. the way. They all came from Germany.

Copenhagen reports that a spectator at the review of troops last weak heard the Kaiser say:—/‘They wish to. kill Germany.
