GRAND CHORAL CONCERT.
In connection with the choral concert in aid of tire British and Belgian Belief Fund, to jbe held in the Town Hall on Thursday, 12th inst., the final arrangements have been made for the production of a choral programme such as has not been given in Stratford. It is such as would be put on as a mixed programme of a Philharmonic Society, embracing as it does choruses from Oratorios with full orchestral accompaniment, glees and choruses without orchestral accompaniment, by which contrast the beauties of vocal music may be fully appreciated. Besides these, there will be separate trios for male voices only and female voices only 7, also solos and duets. The instrumental solos include a viola solo and cornet solo, the latter being accompanied by piano and organ, with violin obligato. There will also be a couple of orchestral selections. The choir and orchestra combined include upwards of fifty ol Stratford’s chosen musicians and are under the careful tuition of Mr O. H. Lawn, who has had a long experience in this class of music. This is sufficient guarantee that the public who patronise the effort will be given a musical treat such as they do not get every day. Patrons of this concert will understand that this is a straightout effort for the above fund, and that after the small expenses incidental to the production, the net proceeds will go to the fund.
