RICCARTON TRAINING.
[Pan Pbebs Association.] Christchurch, October 31. At Riccarton the going was capital tor training, though an early fog prevented good times in the first gallops. Martin’s Findhorn finished well over six furlongs. Quarantine and Don Francisco did a mile in 1.45 i; First I light a mile and a quarter in 2.12; Scotch Melody seven furlongs in 1.31; Cumulus and Emperador, seven furlongs in 1.321,; Indigo and.Mysteriach, the last mile and a quarter, fin 1.49 ; Miljchikoff was not, extended over six furlongs, .done in 1.22; -.Peg defeated Charmilhi over a mile in 1.46£; Hyrnettius did five furlongs in 1.3 i, a smart performance; Expect and Multiply did a circuit, the last half mile in 52sec (the former stumbled and finished lame, hut this is thought to bo due to his shoes); Marsa six furlongs in 1.18; Bimeter defeated Recontre by two lengths in five furlongs in 1.3; Vocation and Hyettus did a similar performance; Downham and Firamnrz covered half a mile in 50 1-osec; Postillion, four furlongs in 49,3-osec; Reputation had Slogan well beaten at .the end of six furlongs, run in 1.18 2-5; Fabrikoff and Prince Delaware .did f six furlongs in 1.19-2-5; Ringform and. Sea Pink did a mile in 1.45 a-; Merry Woe a . mile in 1.43; Warstep did a mile and a half, being joined by Chrysotis over a mile and a quarter, and ‘they did the last mile in 1.43 2-5, the ful {distance in* 2.38 (Warstep finished several lengths in front with no signs of distress, though carrying over the Cup weight—it was, the gallop of the morning) ;■ Twelfth Knight and Bee did half a mile in 49 3-5; Honesty a mile in 1.46; Antumnus six furlongs on the sand in Imm 17£.
