In reply to Her Excellency's cable, announcing the composition and despatch of the first consignment of contributions, in answer to Queen Mary’s appeal, Her Majesty lias sent, through the Secretary of State for the Colonies, the following message:—“Her Majesty the Queen sends her sincere thanks for the generous response to her appeal.”
