NEW SOUTH WALES POLITICS. Sydney, October 22. The'Budget shows that the net revenure was £7,348,000, and the expen-j diture. £7,106,000. Statutory deductions left a deficit on Government transactions of £IOO,OOO. The estimate of revenue for the present year is £7,325,000, and expenditure £7.083,000. Referring" to the loan policy, Mr Holman stated that the increase of the public debt during'the year was £10.525,Q00 and the total indebtedness was £116,695,000. Whilst; a legitimate note issue was right and, proper, the borrowing of large amounts, of paper money from the Federal Go-| vernment could only result in financial disaster! An indiscriminate note issue was one of the prime delusions of the age. Regarding the absorption of unemployed in new wheat areas, the Premier stated that it had beendecided to, guarantee a definite minimum price for all wheat raised on additional areas. It would not be compulsory to sell to the Governmentit would simply be marketed in the usual way. Sydney, October 22. lii the previous Budget the figures gave the total revenue as £18,420,552 and the expenditure £18,047,513/: The estimated revenue for the present year is £19,140,000 and expenditure £19,108,057. It is anticipated to derive £320,000 from • additional income tax. and £50,000 from a tax on motor vehicles. .; .
DISCONTENTS AT BROKEN HILL.

Mr Holman severely criticised the discontents of Broken Hill for their action in hanging round the temporar-

The following passed all stages; Bill, to prohibit trade with the enemy,, Bill to confer Admiralty or maritime jurisdiction on the High Court • and to declare the High Court to be a- colonial court of the" Admiralty, and a Crimes Bill. Mr Fisher, referring to. the tramway |.caso, stated that the constitution nun;t be amended. The House adjourned till Wednesday. The Senate passed a Dill granting £IOO,OOO to the Belgian Government. .
