DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
YESTERDAY'S operations. There was, the .usual excellent muster of .members of the Defence Rjfle Club' at the,rifle range yesterday afternoon, when.five.shpts were fired,at the 200yds range and ten (with.two sighters)' fit 300yds. ' The weather was ideal for shooting and at the shorter range' even the more backward men put on fair scores. The muster at the foot drill in the evening \yajs not so good as usual, owing to a misunderstanding as to whether the drill was to be held or not. It has now been,decided that in future only one foot drill a week'will l, e i ie ld—on' Monday ; evenings. Last night was devoted to running over movements previously practiced..
