AMUSEMENTS.

BERNARD'S PICTURES. A programme of many wonders will be screened at His Majesty's Theatre to-night. The feature drama, "A Day of Days," is by the famous Players Co., of New York, 1000 ft. in length, in three acts. It is a play of many sensations. The leading role is taken by Cyril Scott, the eminent American actor. The English Gazette shows the world's happenings. "Fresh Water Aquarium," is a fine Pathe educational. "Winter Sports in Sweden" introduces the world's best skaters, aim shows some very clever evolutions i» the art of skating. The comedies are sharp and lively and full of laughs. A boardinghouse romance is a very funny mix-up in a busy boardinghouse. "Closed at Ten" is a light and hearty comedy. The orchestra includes in its fine musical programme "Faust" (Grand Opera), and "The Dollar Princess" (selection). ROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY MINUTES. To-morrow afternoon in His Majesty's theatre Mr John Gilchrist will give his fourth and final lecture. The lecturer will take his hearers from a port in New Zealand and will pass in pictorial review many of the countries of the world. The Panama Canal in course of construction will be inspected. The fierce Red Indian, the wild Hindoo, the Chinese, Japanese, Eskimos, and the wild Cossacks will all be seen in their native countries. Fields of pineapples in Queensland, cocoanuts and bananas in the Pacific Islands, apples and oranges in California, rice fields and tea plantations in India and China, salmon fishing in the rivers of Canada., wheat rising oh the great plains of Canada, immense log rafting on that country's rivers, fur hunting in the Rockies, ship building in the'Clyde, deer stalking in Norway, primitive weaving and spinning, all of which will combine tontake a great pictorial presentation. The other lecturec delivered by Mr Gilshrist have been much appreciated by the adults as well as the boys and girls who have attended, and to-morrow a good attendance is expected.
