Paris, October 6. Official: Our front on the left is extending more and more. Very large masses of German cavalry are reported to be in the neighborhood of Lille, proceeding the forces moving to the north of the Twrcoing-Amen-tiares lino. The situation on the right bank of the Somme is appreciably maintained. Alternate advances and retirements occurred between the Somme and Oise. The enemy unsuccssfully attempted a heavy attack on Lassigny. We made a slight advance, with the co-operati ooufcpiSuZimeJ with the co-operation of the British, north of Soissona and the Somme. Progress has been made in tli - Pcrryandac district, but the position is unchanged elsewhere. _____
