PALMERSTON SHOW, 1914.

Show preparations are now in full swing at Palmerston North, and the secretary informs our correspondent that notwithstanding the all-engross-ing topic of war, schedules are in great demand, indicating that keen interest is being taken in this, the principal show in the North Island. It has bddrt usual to close the entries for butterfat competition in September, so that arrangements could be made for ac commodation. This has nil been nrranged for, and the committee lias decided to receive entries up to ordinary closing date, 17th October. Intending comeptitors will therefore have a better idea of which of their cows they consider suitable,
