THE SINN FEIN SOCIETY.
A MANIFESTO AND MR JOHN REDMOND. [United Press Association.] London, September 25. Twenty members of the original committee of Irish volunteers identified with the Sinn Fein Society have issued a manifesto repudiating Mr John Redmond and declaring that he is no longer entitled to any place in the administration of the volunteer organisation. Therefore his twentyfive nominees ceased to he members This action is taken on the ground that Mr Redmond declared it to he the duty of Irish volunteers to take foreign service under a Government; which is not Irish. They propose calling a convention of Irish volunteers on November 25 to oppose any diminution in the measure of self-govern-ment now r on the statute paper. STATEMENT BY MR REDMOND. London, September 26. Regarding the Sinn Fein manifesto. Mr Redmond states that the majirity of the provisional committee of the volunteers will meet at Dublin on Wednesday to constitute a new governing body, elected by the rank and file.
