ORANGE BLOSSOMS.
PARKER—BURKETT. % At the Roman Catholic Church, Stratford, on Thursday, the marriage of Miss Agnes Burkett, third daughter of Mr and Mrs John Burkett, of Ngaere, to Mr Fred Barker, second son of Mr and Mrs S. Parker, of Ngaere, took place. The. bride wore a very handsome robe of such cream Irish poplin trimmed with silk insertion and fringe. She use wore the orthodox veil and orangb blossoms and carried a beaut'.ful shower bouquet. The bride was attended by Miss Eileen and Flo. Banicr, as liidesmaids. They wore costumes of cieam radianta with picture bats to match. 1 The Rev. Father Maples performed 1 the marriage ceremony. Mr Paul Burkett acted as best map, and Mr Joe Burkett as groomsman. The wedding breakfast was held at the old residence, where 160 guests sat down to an excellent refection at which the usual toasts were honored, many telegrams of congratulation being read. I The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful and costly presents.
