The Russian Consul said that Aussia did not want war. The only reason she entered the struggle was the blood ties of fifty million Slavs, whose sympathies were with Serv-ia. The Japanese Consul pledged Japan to faithfully and honorably fulfil her treaty obligation. Japan had not much to do at present, but she would do her share.
