Allies' Declaration.
DISABUSING THE GERMAN MIND London, September 7. The declaration of the Allies that they will not conclude peace separately kills the idea which has been published in tho German press that after punishing France sufficiently they would offer her very acceptable terms to become an ally of Germany against Britain. Documents found on Austrian generals contain an urgent appeal to Germany for help. PARIS LIKE LONDON ON A SUNDAY.

French refugees arriving in Southampton describe Paris as like London on a Sunday.
THE TIMES' COMMENT
(Received 8.80 a.m.) London, September 7 (morning}
Tho Times remarks; The Allies’ declaration only states certain facts, which are known to everyone except tho German Foreign GiiVo. JSie’ortlieless, though tho declaration may seem a« timely to tho rest of li e wo: id as it may seem untimely to Germany, it, moreover, assures Belgium and Servia—if an assurance be needed—that their more posyrful Abies will car* for their interests as if they were their own.
