The Full Court dismissed the appeal against the payment of £2OO to Messrs Osborne, M.P., and Jones, exM.P., in connection with the sale of the Boorabil estate to the Government. Tiie ground of the appeal was on the score of public policy, the plaintiffs, as members of Parliament, were not entitled to payment of commission and expenses. The majority of the Court held that the plaintiffs’ action was not illegal. Justice Gordon dissented, holding that members of Parliament using influence with Ministers of the Crown for monetary consideration was against public poilcy.
