The selectors of the North Island hockey team, which is to meet the South Island team at Wellington on September 12th, have chosen the following eleven: —Goal, R. Dwyer; right full-back, Baker (Auckland); left fullback, Speight (Auckland); ‘right half, Hanley (Wairarapa); centre, McGregor (Wellington); left half, Conubll (Wanganui); forwards, right wing, Atkinson (Hawke’s Bay), inside right, Mahoney (Auckland), centre, G. Strack (Wellington), inside left, Boyd (Wellington), left wing, Loader (Wellington). Emergency full-back, Bottrill (Hawke’s Bay).
