Splendid Response.
THE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE WILL SAIL AT THE END OF THE MONTH. Wellington, August 17. Hon. James Allen has made a statement to the Press that the expeditionary force will sail at the end ol tins month, and the men will go to Europe, with Major-General God ley in command. The forces will lie so arranged as to fit in with an Imperial unit, and it is desired that the mobilisation of the forces should be expedited. The response throughout New Zealand, says the Minister, has been splendid.

The Postmaster-General lias announced that henceforth the Government war news will ' he telegraphed to every place in the Dominion, and posted up at every local telegraph office for general information.
