THE SUBMARINES ACCEPTED BY THE ADMIRALTY. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] Times and Sydney Sun Services. Ottawa. August 11. The Admiralty has accepted Canada's offer of two submarines recently purchased from Chili. An attempt was made to blow up the Canadian North Railway track at Parry Ponds. Troops are now guarding the railways throughout Canada. ( THE LEGION'OF FRONTIERSMEN. Ottawa, August 11. Mr Patrick Burns, a cattle king at Calgary, offers fift ythonsaud dollars to equip the Legion of Frontiersmen. FURTHER SPLENDID OFFERS FROM THE DOMINION. ONLY A BRITISH CRUISER. (Received 9.5 a.m.) Ottawa, August 12. The city has offered to the Motherland a machine gun battery, with motor trucks, men and impedimenta complete, costing £20,000. Private contractors are offering supplies free to repaint the cruiser Niobe. The' strange vessel in the St. Lawrence was discovered to be a British cruiser and the ports were thereupon re-opened.
