The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. 0. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows i Westerly strong winds to gale and veering by west to south after about 24 to 36 hours. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Rain probable. Barometer falling, but rising after about 24 hours.
