Mr W. M. Bayly was last night appointed to the executive committee of the A. and P. Association to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr J. Brake.
Mr H. T. Twiss, who is leaving Taranaki for Hawke’s Bay, notified the executive of the A. and- P. Association last night that he desired to resign membership of the Association, He expressed the hope that the Association would continue to prosper, and desired that he might still remain a guarantor of the Association, he having signed a guarantee to the Association when it was formed. The president, Mr E. Jackson, said Mr Twiss had been a very live member—he was excellent at getting competitors into the ring. He started work early on the first day of the show and worked hard on both days. It was very gratifying that Mr Twiss desired to remain a guarantor. He moved that Mr Twiss’ resignation be accepted with regret and that appreciation of his action in remaining a guarantor be minuted. Messrs Healy and Kelleher cordially endorsed the president’s remarks, and the motion was carried.
