A cablegram on June 9 stated: The trial of Wilmart, a railway manager who is accused of defrauding bis company of two and a half million francs, has begun, and is expected to occupy several weeks. Fourteen leading coun-
sel will appear for the accused. Sixtyone thousand forged bonds have been traced, on which Wilmart and bis confederates borrowed 20 million francs. The accused hoped to repay his thefts out of the profits of the sale of the Ternenzen railway to the Government.
