ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

About six o’clock this morning, Maurice Hume Black, aged about 40 years, a carter and general farm hand, employed at the Old People’s Home, was on his way into Napier, riding an ordinary push bicycle. On the Taradale road he collided violently with a motor-car driven by Mr M. H. Strachan. Black was thrown heavily to the ground, his face and head being badly crushed. Death was apparently instantaneous. »
Dunedin, July 27
The body of the Rev. E. L. Woodhouse was found in the Molyneaux river this morning, some distance below the railway bridge. He is believed to have fallen into the river whan crossing the bridge on June 19.
