THE KING'S PRIZE.
[By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United. Press Association.] London, July 25. Seven Australians qualified for the third stage of tho King's prize.
There was heavy rain and a variable wind off the butts to the marksmen's faces, sometimes strengtheneii to a gale. Sergeant Dewar (Royal Scottish) won the King's prize, with 309, after a tie; with Fulton. In the shoot-off Dewar made 3—5—2, against Fulton s—o—l. Dewar went to 1000yds with 254, and Fulton with 257, He finally required a bull to win. The great crowd remained in tense silence and an inner was signalled. Mac Alister made 301, and fired with fine judgment.
