MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.
The executive committee of the A. a.nd P. Association met last night. Present: Messrs E. Jackson (president, in the chair), F. E. Dobsoa, J. Brake, E. Kelleher, R. Dingle, J. Shotter, J. D. Healy, D. J. M alone. Mr Jackson reported l that he and Mr Brake had waited on the Poultry Society, who stated that they could not agree to hand over the affairs' oi the Society to the Association unless

pi ices of dairy produce. The opinion was expressed that tho information desired would be interesting, but that it would bo hard to procure and would unduly enlarge the size of the cable. Mr N. Fulton, of the Agricultural Department, wrote suggesting that the classes for dairy produce should bo cut«but of the schedule. The exhibits were not particularly attractive to spectators.—Mr Jackson objected to dropping the classes:—Mr Brake suggested that the section might foe extended by including classes for cream cheese and similar articles.—lt was decided that the letter' be "received.''
Mr A. H. Huggett wrote regarding the operations of the Gun Club on. the showground. Some of his cows were timid and the shooting caused them to hold their milk,—lt was decided that Messrs Jackson and Kelleher interview Mr Huggett and the Gun Club as to where the shooting should take place. Mr D. J. Malone brought up the question of keeping stock off the oval before big football matches. They had been agitating for some time for big football matches in Stratford, and now some had been promised. If the stock were not kept off the oval there would be a serious complaint.—lt was stated that stock could not be kepfYoff owing to holes in the wire netting, and it was decided that the matter of temporanl.v repairing the netting be left in the hands of the ground committee. The secretary reported that be haa fixed locks on the lurichepn room and secretary's office and new catches ha.i been put on some of the windows. This would prevent entrance being gained.
Mr Brake stated that he would donate a prize of one guinea for the best hoy driver at next show. Messrs Jackson, Kirkwood- and M.nlone were appointed a printing and. advertising committee. The question of appointing a member to replace Mr Brake on the committee was held over till next meet-
Tho following chairmen of committees were appointed:—Horse section, Mr W. H. H. Young; cattle, Mr Dobson ; sheep and pigs (deferred); weightjudging-, Mr J. B. Richards; machinery and side shows, Mr 11. Masters; office and press, Mr W. P. Kirkwood ; homo industries, Mr Cato; ring, Messrs Dingle and Kelleher; fodder. Mr Shotter; railway receiving, Mr Fletcher.
Mr A. F. Cuff applied for a tlir"e years' lease of the showground ufch the right to plough up a portion.— The application was refused. Payment of prize money to Messrs !'. H. Wellington and Orr in respect of tlie gift calf competition was authorised.
