In the air race, from London to Paris and back, for £IOOO, Brook, an American, won, covering €he 308 miles in 423 minutes. Seven started, of whom Lord Carberry, Garros and Renaux, with a lady passenger, reached Paris. Lord Carberry, when returning, fell into mid-channel and a steamer picked him up. A destroyer salved bis aeroplane. V
