The King and Queen visited Parkhead steelworks, Glasgow, to watch the manufacture of 15-in guns. A picturesque incident of the day was the presentation of a bouquet of orchids to tho Queen for which the work-people had subscribed a penny each. An overhead crane, was utilised to carry the little girl down the shop to their Majesties, where she timidly asked the Queen to accept the bouquet. JTheir Majesties were obviously delighted.
