An Improved Piano.

SIMILAR TO AN ORGAN. FRENCHMEN'S INVENTION. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] Times and Sydney Sun Services. Paris, July 10. Two Frenchmen have invented a piano m which the wires are set in vibra, tion by an electric hammer instead of being struck by hammers. The mechanism is operated by the usual keyboard, but instead of the notes dying gradually away they maintain their volume as long as the key is pressed. The effect produced is similar to that of an organ. This makes the piano an entirely new instrument.
