The latest dividend paid by the Amalgamated Zinc Co. brings the total to half ft million, which is equal to the unpaid capital. SYDNEY SHEEP SALES. Sydney, July 9. At the sheep sales of merinos, Deniliquin stud rains fetched, at top, ,575 guineas, and others JOOgns, 300 gns, and 200gns. A Fnddon Big merino stud ram sold at 320gns, and another for 220gns. Wiuton (Tasmania) sold a merino, stud ram for 350 gns. LONDON WOOL SALES. London, July 8. At the wool sales there was a good selection of crossbreds, which sold fullj up to opening rates. There was a small selection of .merinos, which sold at a five per cent, advance. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 7tb July, 1914: (London Wool Sales.) There was a full attendance at the opening of the' sales to-day, competition by Home, Continental and American buyers being active. The opening catalogues were not representative. Merino wool: Very little offered. As compared with last sales closing rates prices are higher about o per cent for tine crossbred and merino, and higher about par to 5 per cent for medium crossbred. The market is firm for coarse crossbred wool.

WOOL AND RABBITSKINS. (Received 10.10 a.m.) London, July 9. The wool sales wore animated. Merinos were 5 to 7\ per cent, .higher than in May. Crossbreds were firm. Annings report that the rabbitskin sales closed with an average decline of kl; 3041 bundles were offered, and 247.3 sold. MATTHEWS’, CAMLIN, AND GO’S. REPORT. Matthews, Gamlin and Co. report a good yarding of stock in their Inglewood yards last Wednesday. I here was a full attendance of the public, and bidding was good tor most lines offered, store cows being in strong demand. We quote:- —In call 2 year heifers (good) £4 to £4 17s Gd, 21 do. £o !os, empty heifers £3 fis to £3 12s 6d, store cows £3 7s to £3 17s, small and old £2 15s to £3, forward, do. £4 to £4 19s, 20 mouths bulls £2 5s to £3 3s, weancr heifers (colored) £2 0> 6d, others 28s to 37 s 6d, steers £2 12s Gd to £2 15s, ewes in lamb (culls) 14s 2d.
