The sailing vessel grounded in XeAvcastle harbor is still aground, and is considerably damaged. A big sea is running, is still sheltering. The. Wakatipu had a trying experience. For six hours she was out of control, and wallowing in the tremendous seas, great waves breaking ahoard. Much water found its way into the cabins and stokehold. Eventually hand gear was rigged, and she beat her way back to port.
